Bears WR Rome Odunze's Instagram Following Explodes After NFL Draft

The Chicago Bears made a gigantic splash in April when they selected wide receiver Rome Odunze out of Washington with the ninth overall pick. For months, the expected first pick in the NFL Draft — Caleb Williams — was rumored to come to Chicago and after Roger Goodell called his name first before anyone else's, no one was shocked.

But when the Atlanta Falcons shocked the world selecting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth pick in the draft, it became clear the Chicago Bears were about to win draft night after not even double-digit selections.

Rome Odunze Instagram Following

The Washington wide receiver's name has been thrown into the conversation of best prospect at his respective position. Odunze is arguably the best wide receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft class and the Bears got a massive steal at No. 9 overall.

Since being drafted by the Bears, Rome Odunze became an instant celebrity and fan favorite. According to Sportscasting.com, Chicago's rookie wide receiver had the largest Instagram following growth of any player this year.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver, Keon Coleman, gained more followers than Odunze did with over 264,000. But Odunze had the largest percentage increase of any top-pick selection since the NFL Draft in April.
